The chart below shows the invested amount, total share value, the capital gain or loss and the quarter on quarter increase or decrease in capital gain.

Another interesting measure to track is the monthly time-weighted return (TWR), which is a measure of the rate of growth in a portfolio.  It’s a method that eliminates the distorting effects on growth rates created by inflows and outflows of money.
